EAR @ FEUP
On 27th august 2021 we received Armelle Frenea-Schmidt (REXUS/BEXUS Program Manager) in our faculty (FEUP). The purpose of her visit was to conduct the Experiment Acceptance Review (EAR). This review is meant to ensure if our experiment is ready for flight.
The meeting started with a presentation and discussion about the status of our experiment. Following this, a complete inspection of our experiment was carried out as well as the verification of the subsystems functionality was performed. For example, we have shown how we are able to control the experiment from our ground station and receive telemetry; how we request and process a SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) session. Our mechanical interfaces were also subject to a thorough inspection. Finally, we had time to inflate our inflatable antenna and show how our fixed reflector will be assembled.
The review ended on a positive note. The launch campaign is scheduled for late September 2021.
